About me
London is rich in diversity and one of the most ethnically diverse cities in the world. I have extensive experience in private practice working with family/partner dynamics, difference, belonging, identity, cultural issues and inter-generational trauma and understanding how these issues can affect people in the course of their everyday life.
I am keen to learn how we can work together to think about what may feel confusing and painful in a calm, confidential and non-judgemental environment, where self-care is front and centre.
In addition, over the last 18 years, I have also worked with vulnerable and marginalised adolescents and adults who have been subject to the criminal justice system, both within the community and prisons as well as psychiatric secure facilities. I have supported individuals, predominantly men, suffering from acute, chronic, and complex trauma, addiction, personality disorders, anxiety, depression and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). I understand the importance of providing a safe and confidential space to allow clients and teams to explore what may feel uncomfortable.
Alongside private practice, I work with both group and individual forensic psychotherapy patients at the Portman Clinic (Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust), where I also teach and offer reflective practice and clinical supervision to trainees and external forensic organisations. If you are working in an organisation and feel your team could benefit from a reflective practice space, please feel free to get in touch.
