About me
London is rich in diversity and one of the most ethnically diverse cities in the world. I have extensive experience in private practice working with family/partner dynamics, difference, belonging, identity, cultural issues and inter-generational trauma and understanding how these issues can affect people in the course of their everyday life.
I am keen to learn how we can work together to think about what may feel confusing and painful in a calm, confidential and non-judgemental environment, where self-care is front and centre.
In addition, over the last 17 years, I have also worked with vulnerable and marginalised adolescents and adults who have been subject to the criminal justice system, both within the community and prisons as well as psychiatric secure facilities. I have supported individuals, predominantly men, suffering from acute, chronic, and complex trauma, addiction, personality disorders, anxiety, depression and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
I am currently continuing forensic psychotherapy work at the Portman Clinic (Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust) alongside private practice, where I also teach and offer reflective practice and clinical supervision to trainees and external forensic organisations. I understand the importance of providing a safe and confidential space to allow clients and teams to explore what may feel uncomfortable.
